Who Can Join
Older
people with reduced mobility who are
experiencing social isolation and would
like to increase their community links
Criteria for participation in
program
- Living in the City of Manningham
- 55 years or over
- Experience reduced mobility as a
result of factors such as physical
disability, illness, memory loss,
loss of confidence and social
skills, or lack of access to
transport
- Socially isolated or at risk of
becoming isolated
- Interested in broadening their
social network by participating in a
group
- Support needs are within
reasonable expectations of a
volunteer social support service
(high support needs may require
specialist services)
- Availability of a place within a
suitable group and a trained
volunteer to provide required
support
