Testimonials about counselling services
Our counselling clients are always asked for feedback about
their experience with us. Here are some examples of genuine feedback
from our clients.
"Doncare was there when I was having a very difficult time
emotionally"
"The staff were kind, courteous, and, best of all, discreet."
"Thank you for your help. I keep your phone number handy
in case I need to come back."
"I felt very supported, and felt safe and comfortable to
find my own answers."
"I am OK now. Thanks to your service I got over some difficult
humps in my life."
Testimonials from Good Beginnings programs
“At the end of what sometimes was a very stressful week
I knew the Community Parent would be coming. If it wasn’t to just sit and read
to the kids, it was stimulating adult conversation. She seemed
to have a knack of knowing just what to say. My worries never
seemed as bad when the Community Parent was around."
“I would like to thank you and Doncare for the enormous
help I had with the Community Parent’s visits. She is a very nice person who
gave me and my family support and advice."
"Her friendship gave me the strength to struggle in difficult
moments.”
“I am more than satisfied with my volunteer. This service
should perhaps be advertised to generate more money. It would
really be a shame if this had to close. The community needs more
organisations like this."
Testimonials from Social Support programs
The impact that the Social Support Program has on individuals'
lives is evident in the following anecdotes:
The daughter of a male client recently told Doncare staff,
“I really appreciate it that you take Dad out. It’s
really changed him. I’m sure he doesn’t remember much,
but it’s made a big difference to his life. He used to be
really depressed and had nothing to look forward to.”
The gentleman this woman is referring to is actually one of the
most popular in the groups and the ladies have asked that we rotate
him, so that they can all enjoy him!
Another client had a major fall recently while shopping. She
injured her hip and required plaster on her arm. Nevertheless,
she asked her daughter to drop her off to the Saturday Club the
same week!
