President

David is currently employed as a Public Servant at the State Parliament, and has a background in the Hospitality industry. He has been involved with Amnesty International (Eltham Group), Friends of the Earth - Barmah Millewa Campaign, the Public Transport Users Association Committee and with Friends of the ABC. He is also a member of the Australian Conservation Foundation, Greenpeace, Fred Hollows Society, Motor Neurone Society and Old Xavier Basketball Club.

Vice President

Parvin Wynn was born in India, grew up in UK and arrived in Australia with her Melbourne-born husband in 1992. In the UK, Parvin worked in the Computing Services industry as Project Manager before joining the Financial Services industry.  Since arriving in Australia, Parvin has worked in the Financial Services industry, predominately in change management and business re-engineering roles. Parvin was introduced to Doncare in 2002 via the Oxfam Skill Share Program.   Doncare was a good fit with her think global, act local viewpoint. She worked with Doncare to develop and implement Doncare’s Marketing plan and was elected on to the Board in March 2006.   Parvin has also been involved with the Oxfam Skill Share Management Committee, Business and Community Partnership Collaborators Team, and AIM Leadership Development Committee.

John and Jean have lived in Manningham for 38 years. Married for 48 years, they have a grown family and 9 delightful grandchildren. Since retirement from a senior nursing position in the Victorian Public Service, Jean has enjoyed travel, family and friends, walking, and participating in various Probus interest groups. Jean has been involved with the Doncare Board for the past nine years, including holding the position of President from 2000 to 2003, and again from 2006. Jean has enjoyed watching Doncare’s growth and development, and has made lasting friendships through her involvement.

Secretary

Sue Cahill is Student Wellbeing Co-ordinator at St. Charles Borromeo Primary school in Templestowe. Sue chaired the former Manningham Youth and Family Services Board, is a member of the Catholic Aids Ministry Committee of Management, is on the School Focused Youth Services reference group and the Supporting Kids in Primary Schools reference group. Sue is married and has three daughters and one grandson.

Treasurer

Tony is a qualified accountant with over 30 years experience in the energy industry. Tony has spent the bulk of his careerwith the BP Group in various finance and operational roles around Australia and South East Asia in all segments of the oil industry.  Tony is currently the Retail Accounting Manager for Origin Energy.

Being a Director for more than 25 years, Elizabeth has seen Doncare grow and develop into the dynamic organisation it is today. She has represented Doncare in a variety of ways, as President, statistician, delegate to Community Information Victoria and member of several Council committees that resulted in the Doncare Youth Outreach program and Emergency Youth Housing in Manningham. The last two became the former Manningham Youth and Family Services. Elizabeth believes in “community helping community” and that volunteering in the community is the best way to meet people and make friends. Elizabeth is a pharmacist and her favourite pastimes are family, travel and gardening.

Cr Charles Pick

Charles is the Manningham City Council representative on the Doncare Board. As current Mayor of Manningham and Councillor for Ruffey Ward, his major Council interests are social policy, such as crime prevention, and community services. He has a background in criminology and socio-legal studies. He also is Secretary of the Collingwood Youth Club. Charles' role in Council include Chair of Manningham City Council Emergency Committee, co-chair of the Ruffey Lake Management Committee, co-chair of the Manningham City Council local safety committee, and he is also the Manningham Council delegate for the Victorian Local Government Association. Charles is currently undertaking a Masters of Social Policy and Human Services.
